Terms & Conditions 

1. Acceptance & Responsabilities

Payment of the Deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Check in / out

• Check-in time is not before 2pm on the arrival date and check out time is not later than 10am on departure date.

• Late departure is subject to prior arrangement and availability and extra charges may apply.

• Check-in/check-out and key collection/return procedure will be as follows, unless special arrangements have been made prior to arrival. Keys should be left on the kitchen bench in your beach house and front door closed but not locked.

3. Payment

• A 50% deposit must be received within 48 hours from time of making a Booking with Management. Bookings are not confirmed unless and until this deposit is received.

• Payment in full must be received no later than 30 days prior to your arrival.

• Payments of the amount due must be received in Australian dollars net of any bank or other transaction charges.

• Please ensure payments are made within the specified time limits or the Booking will be cancelled automatically without notice or liability.

• We accept payment by the following methods: Visa, MasterCard or direct deposit into our bank account. Cheque & cash payments are not accepted.

• A credit card surcharge of 2% will be levied to cover transaction costs associated with credit card payments.

4. Security Bond

• You must provide a credit card to management to process the required security bond of $500.00. The bond will be processed as a pre-authorisation on the guest’s nominated VISA or MASTERCARD (we do not accept bank transfers or cash for bond payments unless by special arrangement). The funds will be frozen by the guest’s issuing bank for a period of 7-10 working days and will be automatically released as subject to departure inspection. 

• Any damage loss or expense incurred by Management due to a breach of these Terms & Conditions will be charged against the credit card. Examples include but are not limited to any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements or extra Guests.

5. Unavailability

• If the Property becomes unavailable for your occupancy due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. fire, storm, damage, etc) then Management will inform you immediately and endeavour to obtain suitable alternative accommodation for your occupancy; failing which any moneys paid will be refunded in full.

6. Parties & Functions

• Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited at Tallow Beach Houses. This is non-negotiable.

7. Linen and Towels

• We supply linen, pillows and towels which must be left where supplied in your beach house on departure. Further linen may be hired through Management. 

8. Cancellation

• Cancellations received 60 days prior to check-in will receive a full refund minus a $150 management fee.

• Cancellations received 30 days prior to check-in will receive a 50% refund minus a $150 management fee.

• Cancellations received after 30 days prior to check-in will not be subject to any refunds.

9. Pets

• Pets are not allowed at the Property. Unfortunately, due to our location in a nature reserve this condition is non- negotiable.

10. Personal and Lost Property

• No responsibility will be taken by Tallow Sands for guest’s personal property. If items are left at a property, the office will contact the cleaners to determine whether the items were located. If located, guests are required to pay for the return of their belongings.

11. Your Other Responsabilities

• You must comply with all applicable Tallow Sands Rules and all instructions from Management and the caretakers of the Property concerning occupancy, property, health, safety and quiet enjoyment of the Property and our neighbours. You are responsible for damage, breakages, theft and loss of the Property and any part of it during your stay. You must notify us of this immediately. Management may recover from you repair or replacement cost (at Management's discretion)

• Only the guests nominated and agreed in the Booking may stay in the Property overnight. If any other guests stay extra charges may apply or the agreement may be terminated without refund.

• Disturbances to our neighbours, including excessive noise are prohibited and may result in termination and eviction without refund. Extra charges may be levied for security and other expenses.

• Before departure, all rubbish put in the appropriate council rubbish bins provided, and crockery and cutlery placed in the dishwasher and washed. The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition.

• Extra cleaning charges may be incurred for the cleaning of dirty dishes, washing machine, dishwasher, emptying the fridge, removal of excessive rubbish etc. Should the cleaning fee be more than the usual cost for cleaning the property, you will be charged the additional costs over and above the normal cleaning fee which will be deducted from the security bond or charged to your credit card.

• All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived

• The property should be vacated on time with keys left inside and all windows and doors closed but not locked. You are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of accommodation keys.

• Smoking is not permitted in the Property - Any damages or excess cleaning caused by smoking on or inside the premises will be taken from bond.

12. Problems or Complaints

• In the case of any problem or complaint, please inform Management at the earliest opportunity so Management has the chance to rectify the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible. You must allow repair/service access to the property during reasonable hours.

• Any complaint, which cannot be resolved locally, must be notified in writing to Management prior to departure from the Property.

• Failure to follow this procedure may hinder the ability of Management to rectify the problem or complaint and reduce or extinguish any claim you may have.

13. Charging Electric Vehicles

• A $36 fee will be applied per charge of any Electric Vehicle on the property, please let management know prior to charging your vehicle.

• We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance as Management is not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at our property
